WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO HAVE A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THOSE LEVELS. UH, FOR EXAMPLE, IN A NORMAL ENVIRONMENT, A THREE DB CHANGE IS WHAT IS PERCEPTIBLE OR PERCEIVABLE, UH, DETECTABLE BY THE HUMAN EAR. UM, AND YOU COULD SEE ON THIS TABLE HERE, UH, THAT YOU, I HAVE A SCREEN UP HERE TOO, IF IT FOR YOU. UM, YOU COULD SEE CHANGES IN NOISE LEVEL THREE DB MEANS, UH, A SOUND ENERGY DIFFERENCE OF TWO TIMES SIX IS FOUR TIMES, 10 IS 10 TIMES. SO IF YOU LOOK AT THE, THE BOTTOM RIGHT OF THE SCREEN, YOU'LL SEE A, A 10 DB INCREASE, WHICH MEAN ACCOUNTS FOR 10 TIMES THE SOUND ENERGY. AND THAT'S PERCEIVED BY US AS TWICE AS LOUD ATMOSPHERIC CONDITIONS. WEATHER, UH, COULD GREATLY INFLUENCE, UM, PROPAGATION OF SOUND. THAT IS HOW SOUND TRAVELS THROUGH OUR ENVIRONMENT. HUMIDITY, PERCE, PRECIPITATION, TEMPERATURE, WIND TURBULENCE. ALL THESE THINGS PLAY A FACTOR IN, IN, UH, HOW, UH, BOUND PROPAGATES AND HOW OUR COMMUNITY, UH, SOMETIMES REACTS TO THOSE, THOSE SOUNDS, ESPECIALLY COMING FROM THE AIRPORT. UH, NEXT SLIDE, RON. UM, LET'S SEE, GARBAGE DISPOSAL AT THREE FEET, AROUND 80 DECIBELS, UH, MAYBE YOUR BEDROOM AT NIGHT IN THE MID TWENTIES. UH, THIS IS JUST KIND OF HELPFUL FOR YOU TO UNDERSTAND, YOU KNOW, WHAT IS THE RANGE? WE'RE GONNA TALK ABOUT SOME NOISE METRICS. UM, THE FIRST ONE IS EQUIVALENT SOUND LEVEL, OR LAQ. WHEN I THINK OF LAQ, I REALLY THINK OF AVERAGE. THAT'S REALLY WHAT IT MEANS. UM, AND THESE ARE THE LEVELS SEEN IN WEB TRACK. IF YOU'VE GONE TO OUR FLIGHT TRACK VIEWER ONLINE, UH, YOU'LL SEE OUR NOISE MONITORS, AND THEY'RE DISPLAYING A NOISE LEVEL EVERY FEW SECONDS. THESE ARE LAQ AVERAGE NOISE LEVELS. UH, AND YOU COULD SEE THAT IT COULD BE A DURATION OF ANY TIME. IT COULD BE 15 SECONDS, WHAT IS SHOWN ON THE SCREEN, IT COULD BE ONE HOUR, FOUR HOURS. IT, IT'S ANY PERIOD IN WHICH YOU DEFINE. THE NEXT METRIC IS SINGLE EVENT NOISE, EXPOSURE LEVEL, OR S-C-N-E-L. UH, IT'S SIMILAR TO SOUND EXPOSURE LEVEL, SEL. UH, IT'S A CALIFORNIA VARIATION. UH, MANY TIMES THEY COME OUT TO BE THE SAME LEVEL. UM, SO FOR ALL PURPOSES FOR TODAY, WE WILL JUST ASSUME THEY'RE THE SAME. BUT, UM, THERE'S JUST A, IT'S A SLIGHT VARIATION. AND THESE, THESE, UH, WHY IT'S IMPORTANT TO US AT LONG BEACH, OR THERE'S MAXIMUM NOISE LEVELS IN OUR ORDINANCE SPECIFIED IN THIS METRIC. UH, THE COMMUNITY LOVES SEL. UM, WE'RE CONSIDERING THAT IN AN EVENT, AND YOU COULD SEE IT, IT CONTINUES TO GO OVER YOUR HEAD. UM, NEXT UNDER CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE, I WANTED TO HIGHLIGHT THIS, UM, EXCITING FLIGHT THAT SOUTHWEST AIRLINES CONDUCTED. IT WAS A CHARTER FLIGHT, HUMANITARIAN FLIGHT WHERE, UM, THEY BASICALLY TRANSPORTED MORE THAN 150 SHELTER PETS. BUT THIS WAS A COOL THING THAT, UM, WE WERE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN WITH SOUTHWEST AIRLINES. UM, AND IT WAS, UM, WE WISH WE COULD HAVE GOTTEN BETTER LOOKS AT THE PETS, BUT THEY HAD TO STAY IN THOSE CRATES AND MAKE SURE THAT THEY WERE SAFELY IN THERE, UM, THAT IT WAS A FUN EVENT. THE TOTAL AVAILABLE SEATS IN THE MARKET FOR JANUARY, 2025 WAS 211,563. TOTAL PASSENGER TRAFFIC WAS 269,452, AND THE LOAD FACTOR WAS 63%. THE, IT'S REALLY HARD TO, UM, GO IN AND TRY TO, TO CHANGE THAT. SO THE BUT AND CLICK CORRELATES TO WHAT IT THINKS IS THE AIRCRAFT THAT THE, THE COMMUNITY'S CONCERNED ABOUT.
